Not only is what OpenAI arguing wildly hypocritical on its face, it also undermines many of its own arguments that OpenAI is making in defense of itself in a copyright lawsuit with the New York Times, as well as its own arguments in court about why it’s OK to take other people’s stuff, because it’s simply how AI has to be developed, which DeepSeek has now shown is wrong. Good stuff.
